Macquarie's Equities business is engaged in institutional equity brokerage sales, sales trading, and execution with a risk management focus to develop equity based financial solutions and services for our Clients globally.

Macquarie's Equities business is engaged in institutional equity brokerage sales, sales trading, and execution with a risk management focus to develop equity based financial solutions and services for our Clients globally.

We are currently seeking a Cash Sales Trader to join our global team in New York.

In this role, you will be responsible for marketing and selling Macquarie's execution platform capability in the US. This role will be aligned with our research product and research sales effort in the US. You will liaise with current Macquarie staff worldwide to market the firm's Global Execution capabilities to existing clients, as well as bring new clients to the platform. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in all aspects of client interaction, from initial sales through to client setup, initial trade and ongoing business origination.

To be successful, you will have:

  • 5 years of sales trading experience, in both coverage and prospecting new clients.
  • Research sales experience a plus.
  • institutional client relationships and a willingness to develop new ones, particularly in the hedge fund space.
  • proven client/account management skills and success in a team-oriented, global work environment
  • a detailed knowledge of risk management, technical and operational procedures in a global institutional equity trading environment
  • excellent academic qualifications, ideally in a quantitative or information technology discipline
  • Series 7, 63 and 55 licenses

Salary Range

Salary range for this position: $180,000 - $320,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
