Our global futures clearing team in Chicago is anxious to bring on a new trade support analyst to support our global business. In this Trade Processing and Clearing role you will be instrumental in allocating top day trades to the revenue generating traders at Macquarie. We are looking for someone with 0-5 years of experience. You will either be a STEM graduate with a strong work ethic, a thirst for knowledge and a keen attention to detail, or you'll have a few years of financial services experience in risk, compliance or trading operations. In this role, you'll have dedicated mentors to train you with industry standard systems applications and have strong growth opportunities within our broader Commodities and Global Markets business.

On a day to day basis, you'll be allocating top day trades using a combination of exchange systems, back office accounting and allocations system. You'll research and rectify daily trade breaks and re-allocations for clients and work with your colleagues to rectify trade discrepancies for clients. You'll need to learn to run automated trade reconciliations for top tier clients to identify and rectify discrepancies, adjust trades and perform daily closeouts for key accounts. You'll build your compliance knowledge and risk appetite by being the business conduit for trade discrepancies identified by regulators. You'll also manage the liquidation of key trading positions for top clients.

Working directly with our back office team, you'll assist in setting up new products and updating the trade records for all stages in the process. You'll be reconciling futures equity exchange trades through CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX, ICE US and ICE. You'll provide support for Carry Broker positions and trade and Equity Reconciliations across multiple overseas exchanges. You'll also work with internal IT support and external vendor support to improve systems, and to raise, explain and resolve issues relating to various systems failure or exceptions.

Experience using automated trade and position reconciliation systems, including ability to maintain static and translation tables would be highly valuable for this role. These systems / applications include;

  • CME Group Applications; FEC, Clearing 21, Document direct
  • ICE US Applications; ECS, PTMS, ACT
  • Clearvision, Fastfill (or other middle-office trade allocation systems)
  • MS Office Applications such as Excel, Access, Word
