You will help craft and shape the on-desk index research product covering the Americas and EMEA, as well as assisting in trading decisions on the PT Facilitation desk in the US. This is a unique opportunity for you if you are looking to learn a broader, more diverse skill set that is global in nature.
In this role you will assist with developing models to help predict/analyze changes to global equity indices. To that end, you will collaborate with colleagues in Portfolio Trading, Global Quant, High Touch Cash and IT to transmute data collected from various sources into actionable trading ideas. In addition, you will also develop and maintain a NAM specific database as well as data visualization tools, manage and optimize processes for data retrieval and validation, analyze desk trade data and performance, and perform data screening.
To be successful in this role you will have 1-5 years of experience in a related field, strong SQL skills, experience working with relational databases. Good scripting and programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, BI tools including advanced excel would be a plus.
We also welcome applicants from index providers (MSCI, S&P, FTSE), ETF Providers and data vendors (e.g. IHS Markit, Bloomberg). Index construction experience from Index/ETF providers would be valued.
