Macquarie Capital Advisory & Capital Solutions provides advisory and capital raising services to corporate and government clients involved in public mergers and acquisitions, private treaty acquisitions and divestments, debt and equity fund raising and corporate restructuring. Our principal team utilises our balance sheet to invest alongside our clients and partners along withflexible finance solutionsto support transactions, develop assets, build businesses and create investment platforms.
As the global Advisory & Capital Solutions Business Operational Risk Manager located in New York, your understanding of operational risk management will help you develop successful risk frameworks, drive a strong risk management culture and provide expert advice to senior leaders and teams globally. You will contribute to risk discussions with senior Advisory & Capital Solutions management and our Risk Management Group.
As the Advisory & Capital Solutions Operational Risk Lead, you will be involved in managing a global team to:
- Support Advisory & Capital Solutions management in discharging their duties to execute and monitor the operational risk management framework
- Oversee deal teams operational risk due diligence and implementation of new principal portfolio investments, and provide guidance on the internal approvals required for these activities based on the risk
- Assess the operational risk of the business and provide guidance on changes to ensure appropriate frameworks are in place to manage project and business risks
- Proactively identify operational risks and assess the adequacy of controls to manage such risks, including recommending enhanced or additional controls
- Design and complete control assurance testing on critical controls and present results to senior management.
You should have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a global organisation to deliver results and possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to initiate and lead conversations with business leaders and Risk Management regarding anticipated and emerging issues. Being tenacious, agile and with the proven ability to sustain high levels of performance in a fast-paced, output focused environment, along with working knowledge of the regulatory environment in which Macquarie operates will help you be successful in this role.
