Principal Software Development Engineer  - Bellevue, WA

Existing software systems, services, datastores, and programming language libraries become Maana “Knowledge Services” using a GraphQL “wrap and map” (WAM) approach.  Some of these services may become Maana “Knowledge Bots” that can behave autonomously in response to some stimuli and participate in the BotAction protocol.  Some bots may offer a full user experience (e.g., to train it on some task) from within the Maana Knowledge Portal as a contextual “assistant.”

 Essential Functions

 Responsible for managing Maana's core engineering team.

  • Contribute at a high level as an IC
  • Participate in Architectural review and design on Major platform features
  • Participate in planning (strategic and tactical) for the Maana platform.
  • Provide leadership to drive platform releases to completion

Required Education & Experience

  • 7 - 10 years experience as a developer
  • 3 Years experience in a lead role
  • College Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Willingness to get up to speed on necessary technologies

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Scala experience
  • NodeJS experience
  • Experience with Containers/Docker
  • Experience building applications within the JVM ecosystem
  • Python and machine learning a plus.
