Collection Specialist

Job Description

Position Summary:

The Collection Specialist will tap into their experience handling large quantities of collections, and will be a part of a dynamic team playing a critical role in the success of the organization. Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Contact past due customers via phone, email, letters
  • Work with internal teams such as sales and client support to help resolve customer issues
  • Contact customers and appropriate functional areas for payment status and/or timely issue identification and resolution
  • Perform complex reconciliation of accounts to resolve problems and issues
  • Evaluate and proactively identify opportunities for improvement in business processes and policies
  • Analyzes customer accounts receivable to identify opportunities to accelerate cash collections and reduce invoice aging
  • Assist in cash application as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience & Qualifications:

  • 4-5+ years of recurring or subscription billing collection experience
  • MS Excel skills required, experience with Netsuite, GetPaid and SalesForce is a plus
  • Ability to excel in a high volume, fast-paced, changing business environment
  • Ability to communicate and effectively resolve past due balances and challenging customer situations
  • Ability to follow established procedures and instructions to complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Flexible and reliable work-ethic
  • Excellent time management, prioritization & organizational skills
  • Team player with strong communication skills
