Head of Finance, FP&A (Lyft Business)

We’re seeking to hire an experienced finance leader for the Lyft Business organization; a highly visible role with that will help shape the future of one of the fastest-growing businesses within one of the most anticipated pre-IPO companies in Silicon Valley. The Head of Finance will work closely with Chief Business Officer, David Baga, as well as broader leadership across Lyft to help inform critical decisions that shape the future of Lyft Business.

This finance leader will lead all aspects of financial planning, strategic analysis and decision making support for a multi-billion dollar business unit. A strategic thought partner, they will advise and influence decisions that will have a real impact on the P&L. The candidate will lead and expand a core finance team to continuously deliver exceptional financial support to the leaders in the Lyft Business organization.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead financial planning, business analysis and forecasting for Corporate Sales, Strategic Business Development and City Partnership teams

  • Lead pricing reviews for new deals and partnerships, interpret the implications of special deal terms and identify ways to streamline approval processes

  • Push the boundaries of financial forecasting and analysis, drive architecture of sales financial models that not only produce results with a high degree of accuracy but also provide actionable insights

  • Build guardrails and milestones for financial and performance management and identify controls and improve processes to prepare Lyft Business for public markets

  • Deliver monthly/quarterly analysis and reporting of financial results, including variances to business’ plan, to ensure key issues, risks, and business drivers are clearly understood and highlighted

  • Work with various Lyft stakeholders to provide accurate and proactive forecasting of Lyft Business revenues throughout each quarter

  • Partner with Sales Ops to develop robust sales analytics, pipeline management process as well as refine commission plans and compensation structures

  • Work closely with collection teams to ensure AR excellence

  • Partner with the broader FP&A team and other Heads of Finance on cross-functional initiatives, supporting with financial models and ad-hoc analysis

  • Collaborate with Accounting to ensure we have best-in-class processes to meet various program and contractual commitments

  • Manage and continue to grow a high-performing group of individuals currently supporting these functions


Experience & Skills:



  • 12+ years of finance experience with exposure to working in a high-growth environment where revenues, customers, markets and internal organizations collectively scaled rapidly

  • Prior experience in SaaS or online marketplace sales finance leadership capacity required in addition to overall a deep FP&A or strategic finance background

  • Extensive knowledge of SaaS, recurring revenue, and partner-driven models. Consumer/marketplace finance experience is a plus

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field - Advanced degrees preferred

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP

  • Proven track record of leading and managing performance-driven finance teams

  • Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, cultivator of collaboratively working relationships with teams across an organization

  • Forward-thinking, analytical and problem-solving mindset, drawn to building off of ambiguous and unsolved problems and “making it happen”
