Email & Communications Developer (Contract)

The Growth Marketing team engages with millions of Lyft passengers with the goal of growing their satisfaction and usage of Lyft. In this role, you will work closely with growth marketers, product marketers and local marketing teams to support efforts to grow and retain our Lyft audience. The ideal candidate will have expert-level knowledge of current email best practices, and a commitment to maintaining quality work while working in a fast paced and continuously evolving environment.

Responsibilities:


  • Code responsive live-text and image-based emails using HTML and CSS email oriented best practices

  • Own consistent rendering across all major email clients and devices

  • Create scalable dynamic content logic using our ESP’s templating language (Jinja)

  • We’re a fast growing company; so the ability to pivot quickly between projects and priorities is critical


 Experience & Skills:

  • 2-4+ years of work experience in email development

  • Deep experience using email and in-product (web, app) marketing platforms, e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget), Braze (Appboy) or comparable tools

  • Experience with dynamic content & personalization languages (Ampscript, Liquid, Handlebars, etc.)

  • Experience working cross-functionally (bonus points for working with remote teams)

  • Comfortable reporting and explaining marketing engagement metrics to stakeholders

  • SQL knowledge preferred
