Head of FP&A

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, we are seeking an accomplished senior finance professional to lead our Financial Planning & Analysis function. As Head of FP&A, you will play a critical role in building a world-class FP&A function and executing on strategic plans. You will develop company financial models and forecasts, and you will work directly with senior leadership across the firm to align on strategic objectives and communicate financial results. This is a highly visible role that includes frequent interaction with senior leadership and other key internal stakeholders.

We’ll trust you to:

• Lead the FP&A team, striving to build a world-class function and championing change to processes, people and systems as needed
• Lead the firm’s financial modeling, including forecasting, budgeting and long-term strategic planning as well as M&A modeling and transaction analysis

• Design and lead the monthly department budget review process, providing detailed reporting and insights to senior business leaders across the firm to better enable strategic decision making
• Lead and advise on strategic transactions and other special projects both within Finance and across the firm, working closely with the CFO and Head of Corporate Development
• Work closely with the CFO to create financial and strategic presentations for the board of directors, senior leadership, partnership and external constituencies
• Enhance the firm’s approach to measuring and reporting on profitability by business line and product
• Develop and improve the financial reporting and business analysis framework; enhance reporting techniques and tools and collaborate with Technology to innovate and automate reporting processes
• Synthesize relevant industry and peer company research and analysis for distribution to relevant parties within Finance and across the firm

You’ll need to have:

• The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of progressively responsible finance experience, preferably with early experience in investment banking / M&A and a focus on the investment management business

• Experience evaluating and executing strategic transactions

• Demonstrated success in leading and managing a robust finance function

• Strong executive presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior executives and finance partners

• Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor as well as experience resolving complex business problems with well-structured analytics

• Proven ability to work efficiently, effectively and proactively in a fast paced deadline-oriented environment

• Advanced level of Excel and PowerPoint required

• Experience with Oracle PCBS (Hyperion)

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or similar areas of study; MBA preferred
