The Role

The Analyst for UK, Middle East & German-speaking Europe will play an integral role in developing and maintaining Lord Abbett’s global business in Europe. This individual will be responsible for supporting the sales efforts in the UK, Ireland, Middle East German-speaking Europe and will work closely with the rest of the International team in Jersey City and other regions. This position requires outstanding teamwork and collaboration with a strong emphasis on the ability to work closely with multiple departments throughout the organization, including sales, relationship management, product, marketing, legal, operations and finance. This individual must also be a self-starter with an interest in developing a global business for one of the fastest growing active managers in the world.

We’ll trust you to:

• Support the sales activities of the Business Development Directors for the UK & Ireland, Middle East and German-speaking Europe
• Identify new business opportunities in the UK, Ireland, Middle East and German-speaking Europe
• Liaise with Product Strategy and Marketing to develop content for European investors
• Propose and coordinate marketing activities
• Maintain accurate data in CRM system and relaying meaningful changes to team members
• Develop presentations for conferences and meetings with a focus on European investors
• Collaborate with U.S. sales teams, including SRG, U.S. Institutional and Consultant Relations
• Provide detailed product information in response to requests from prospects
• Manage Requests for Proposal (RFPs): vet initial requests, discuss with the RFP team, and serve as the point person for questions requiring clarification
• Ensure that Lord Abbett is accurately represented in all relevant databases
• Work in partnership with relationship managers to retain, grow and cross-sell existing EMEA clients

You'll need to have:

• Fluency in English and German
• 2-5 years of relevant work experience
• Proactive, collaborative team player
• Ability to organize, plan, and manage several concurrent initiatives with varying priorities
• Exceptional attention to detail
• High sense of urgency and degree of initiative and self-motivation
• Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and follow-up skills
• Resourcefulness with excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong desire to learn and grow industry knowledge
• Strong written communication skills
