Tool Calibration Operator / Metrology / NIST / Manufacturing / Orlando, FL

Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control business area is experiencing some substantial growth at our campus in sunny Orlando, FL. We are seeking a Calibration Operator to join our team.
From ultra-precision machining and additive manufacturing to the development and production of complex optical components and sophisticated electronic systems, Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) utilizes the latest capabilities in manufacturing to produce some of the world's most advanced weapon and sensor technology.
The Calibration Operator calibrates tools to conform to set standards. Calibrates, adjusts, and maintains mechanical measuring and indicating instruments. Follows calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Lockheed Martin and the UAW, with the possibility of having to work overtime and work on the weekends depending on business unit needs.

Where can you get to from Orlando? Orlando is about an hour's drive from Cocoa Beach and the "space coast" to include NASA and the Kennedy Space Center. Tampa is about 1.5 hours from Orlando. West Palm Beach is about 2.5 hours to the south and Jacksonville is about 2 hours to the northeast. Atlanta, GA is 6 hours to the northwest.

Basic Qualifications
-Mechanical calibration experience and drawing interpretation experience is required.
-Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift according to the collective bargaining agreement.

Desired skills
-Experience performing uncertainty analysis using NIST traceability on measurement standards.
