Systems Integration and Test Engineer (OCONUS)

This position is part of the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control and MBDA Deutschland Joint Venture (JV) team to develop the next generation Integrated Air and Missile Defense System, "TLVS," for the German Bundeswehr. The JV is the prime contractor for this new system, which is headquartered in Schrobenhausen, Germany. The company will also have operations in Dallas, Texas, Huntsville, Alabama, and Syracuse, New York, as well as locations in Ulm and Koblenz, Germany.

TLVS is a highly mobile ground based air and missile defense system for protection against the current and future threat spectrum in the lower tier. TLVS is based on the technology and development results of the trinational MEADS air and missile defense system (US, Germany, Italy). The development of this latest generation air defense system was proven by the system demonstration in 2014. TLVS will be employed by Germany in the context of national and collective defense as well as for the protection of deployed troops, facilities and areas against all kinds of aerial threats including the interception of the latest generation of ballistic missiles. The individual components of the system are mounted on protected vehicles, offering high tactical mobility for the protection of mobile land forces.

This individual is a member of the JV Verification Team, focused on developing and refining verification methods, test approaches, success criteria, and detailed procedures for verification testing. In that capacity, they create, maintain and approve the TLVS Subsystem and Equipment Set VCRMs (VCRM on Segment Level). This position requires relocating TDY to the Schrobenhausen, Germany area.

This position will be an expatriate assignment located in Schrobenhausen, Germany.

Key responsibilities for this role:

• Perform analysis of design specifications and development of product specifications to satisfy customer requirements, develop and recommend the system architecture and interfaces of the product, as well as perform trade studies and evaluations of engineering designs and concepts.

• Develop integration and test processes and perform integration of system components.

• Determine verification methods, develop test documentation, lead pre-test reviews, and coordinate with Customer program offices and test facilities for test planning and execution.

• Develop systems integration, test and verification plans and conduct system and subsystem integration tasks, environmental tests, and ground/flight tests of the system to required levels to meet product requirements.

• Manage hardware allocation matrix.

• Oversee integration and test of system from design verification tests through flight test.

• Author test plans, test reports, and operating procedures.

• Serve as the primary interface between the US Government System Test Representative, Test Range, and Dallas Engineering and program, will be responsible for Missile processing and flight tests, test readiness reviews, and test working group meetings with the customer.
Basic Qualifications:
• Must currently posses an active Secret clearance.

• Willing to work OCONUS in Schrobenhausen, Germany.

• Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics or related field.

• Experience with integration and testing hardware and systems (eg. production, ground or flight testing.

• Customer and supplier interface experience.

• Experience with the integration and testing of hardware systems (eg. production, ground or flight testing.

• Experience with V&V (verification and validation) of systems (data analysis).

• Must be willing to travel to off site locations during test execution.
Desired Skills:
• Experience planning system level tests, especially flight test, including coordination with range, and performance analysis.

• Experience with integration and test of radar and missile systems.

• HWIL and chamber and field test experience highly desired.

• Knowledge of converting customer or product requirements into systems solutions, including requirement and interface definition, Cost / Risk assessment and Trade Studies.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
