Systems Engineer / SysML/ Energy Programs / Colorado Springs

Systems Engineer working energy programs. Candidate should be knowledgeable of client/server systems. Experience within software development and architecture/domain is highly desired. The responsibilities of this position will required the selected candidate to support, guide and be responsible for:

Defining objectives, design and content of energy product releases.
Decomposing of CONOPS into technical artifacts.
Development of architectural artifacts that support and document the capability releases.
Provide regular communication of status and progress to leadership.
Generating basis of estimate artifacts .
Travel to customer sites is required.

Basic Qualifications
Candidate must have an understanding of Systems Engineering and possess project leadership skills and work independently with little oversight. Candidates must be able to multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and be able to analyze operational and organizational concepts, requirements, models, architectures, workflows and associated tasks, and doctrine.
Candidate must have familiarity with MS Office applications and excellent written and oral communication skills. Candidate must be able to prepare and present briefings for customer/management as well as effectively communicate between engineering functional organizations.
Candidate must have experience with SysML.
Candidate will assist the systems engineering lead in tasks spanning the lifecycle of energy products.

Desired skills
Previous Command and Control systems experience strongly desired. Additionally, experience in the following areas is beneficial:
Requirements capture and management.
Use of Atlassian tools.
Use of MagicDraw.
New business capture.
