System Survivability Engineer- Orlando FL

Description:Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control business is experiencing some substantial growth at our campus in sunny Orlando, FL. We are seeking a Survivability Engineer to join our team.

The Survivability Engineer will be responsible for supporting the architecture and development of the system survivability toolset to be delivered to the government customer for a complex weapon system. They will support developers and analysts from Systems Engineering and Operations Analysis in developing the components of the Modeling and Simulation (M&S) toolset.

The Locale: Orlando is a city in the Central Florida area. This region is a great place to live and to raise a family. Central Florida offers lots of attractive residential housing options. The Greater Orlando metropolitan area is the sixth largest metro area in the southeastern United States. The climate here is warm and sunny all year long for the most part. Orlando is home to Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Florida, and SeaWorld. Orlando is also home to the second largest University in the US, the University of Central Florida (UCF). Where can you get to from Orlando? Orlando is about an hour's drive from Cocoa Beach and the "space coast" to include NASA and the Kennedy Space Center. Tampa is about 1.5 hours from Orlando. West Palm Beach is about 2.5 hours to the south and Jacksonville is about 2 hours to the northeast. Atlanta, GA is 6 hours to the northwest.

Basic Qualifications:
Model based systems engineering and end-to-end performance simulations.

Have familiarity with models and tools such as Suppressor and ESAMS.

A background in radar and sensor technologies to facilitate threat and system model development.

Modular Opens Systems Architecture standards, patterns and tactics, as well as generation and maintenance of Open System Architecture Management Plan (OSAMP) and Architecture Description Documents.

Generation of ICDs and compliance of supplier design is also critical to generation and maintenance of systems performance modeling based upon subsystem demonstrated performance.

Hardware and software integration of sensors and systems

Knowledge of requirements verification.

Familiar with mission effectiveness and survivability analysis.

Must be able to document results.

Must be able to work with a team and individually.

Must have an active Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:
Prior missile system design experience.

Experience with MOSA standards, patterns and tactics.

Experience with sensors and software integration.

DOORS and MATLAB.

It is preferred that the selected candidate's security clearance is in scope (investigation performed within the past 5 years).
