System Integration and Test Lead Engineer, Orlando FL
Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly qualified Systems Integration and Test Engineer to lead developmental testing of multiple weapons projects. The successful candidate should have a proven expertise in systems engineering principles as it relates to weapons developmental testing and as well as leading teams of 4+ engineers.
- Interpreting and decomposing requirements for test plan development.
- Develop test plans, test procedures and run cards, for ground tests, free flight and live fire events.
- Lead the planning and execution of weapons ground and flight tests in conjunction with the USG, MFC System Test IPT, and JTF team members. Conduct system level tests at each phase of the development process.
- Coordinate Flight Readiness Review (FRR) requirements across product teams. Conduct Teat Readiness Reviews (TRR) and Flight Readiness Reviews (FRR) for all phases of weapons developmental testing.
-Provide real-time mission support and post mission debriefs of weapon performance. Interpret and analyze test firing telemetry data.
-Document findings and results in accordance with established development and configuration management processes.
-Effectively communicate and report on discovered anomalies. Assist with troubleshooting and deficiency correction.
-Support Test Plan Working Group (TPWG) meetings.
-Provide support to USAF and Department of Navy Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E) units and Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) units.
Candidate must have exceptional interpersonal skills and must be able to work well in a test team environment. This position will require occasional travel. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
The candidate must posses the following skills and capabilities:
Self-starter with a Solid understanding of weapon integration test operations.
Development Test & Evaluation Flight Test Experience.
Control Room experience.
Expertise in Host Platform to Weapon Interface.
Excellent system troubleshooting skills and experience. .
Knowledge of U.S. military aviation operations.
Knowledge of aircraft avionics systems including Pilot Vehicle Interfaces (PVI).
Working knowledge of weapon sub-systems and how they integrate with the aircraft.
Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively interface with civilian government, DoD, and industry representatives.
Extensive familiarity with Microsoft Office, Interactive Analysis and Display System (IADS) and test data analysis.
Demonstrated performance with working unusually complex technical problems and providing solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.
Applies advanced technical principles, techniques, theories and concepts.
Contributes to the development of new principles and theories.
Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.
Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product.
Serves as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs.
Acts as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications
