Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) Manager/ Orlando, FL

The Supplier Quality Engineer Line of Business Lead (SQE LOB) has a dual responsibility to lead and/or support supplier quality issues specific to their assigned Line of Business (LOB) and to provide strategic support for overall MFC supplier performance excellence. This role tactically engages in the LOB but also executes strategic activities assuring comprehensive approaches to shared supplier quality issues or initiatives.

SQ LOB Lead: Lead/Support Functional Strategic Activities by: Assuring alignment between program and functional goals and objectives; identify and resolve issues; Coordinate the LOB Supplier Surveillance and/or Subcontract Excellence plans and assure appropriate field resources and support field activity/inquiries

SAS LOB Steering Committee: Advocate the usage of SAS across all functions; Analyze/monitor SAS metrics (e.g., supplier changes (R/Y/G)) and assure appropriate attention and/or action

SQ Strategy Team: Participate in SQ Strategy Meeting to review supply chain performance, Q-ELC Metric analysis and actions, etc.; Participate in MFC/LOB strategies to identify suppliers requiring additional management; Produce and/or review Red Flag Report for LOB and review the MFC and early warning indicators from other LOBs/programs

Support Senior Leadership Engagements attend/prepare data and lead related LOB SQ Performance Improvement action plans: Compile and submit the program risk/perception inputs and performance scorecards

Ensure Active Partnership and Engagement with LOBI and GSC: Execute to SQ/GSC teaming strategy to include GSC Risk Board preparation and actions; Foster partnership with GSC LOBI regarding systemic opportunities and Supplier Health Improvement Initiatives

Training & Professional Development: Coach, mentor and develop Supplier Quality professionals - Provide routine feedback on developmental opportunities and strengths

Basic Qualifications
Technical Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
Must have ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Advanced understanding of Quality principles in Aerospace industry strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), engineering requirements as well as mechanical and electrical inspection methods
Ability to effectively communicate and interface with Suppliers, Quality Program Management, Engineering, Sub-contracts (Buyers) and Government Representatives
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment, multi-task and meet deadlines
Capable of performing root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems
Ability to focus on continual improvement practices using causal analysis tools to drive corrective and preventive actions
Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements Experience with control and disposition of non-conforming material
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Must have the ability to travel

Desired skills
A basic understanding of the MFC SAP and Procure to Pay (P2P) usiness systems
ASQ Certification or Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt) Experience with source inspection, surveillance activities and special process at suppliers
Advanced AS9100, AS9102 and TS 16949 Interpretation and application experience
Experienced as a team lead and facilitator
Familiar with requirements for handling and control of Government Furnished Equipment / Property
Experienced in Bid, Proposal and Estimating practices and development of Quality Assurance Basis of Estimates (BOE)
