Supplier QA Engineer Staff
Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Lead Supplier Quality Engineer in support of program operations based in Camden, Arkansas. The Quality professional will be responsible for the strategic leadership and performance for multiple programs; specifically, supplier(s) performance, continuous improvement, training and knowledge continuity. The candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert in Supplier Quality Engineering. This position requires that the candidate stay current with industry standards, solutions and leverage technology into MFC. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Source inspection, first article inspection, Production Process Baseline, surveillance, and product line validations as outlined by AS9102 and applicable
company and industry standards
Participate (as required) in supplier's failure/diagnosis and Material Review Board (MRB) activities
Provide technical liaison support related to quality engineering matters
Ensure supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified and interfaces with supplier daily
Drive strategies resulting in optimal business methods and practices for strengthening the Quality Management System
Develop and implement processes to optimize program execution while driving out risks
Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams and Supplier Management Teams to ensure quality standards are in place
Utilize quality methodologies and Missiles and Fire Control policies and procedures
Identifying solutions to complex problems with a focus on continual improvement practices using tools like Causal Analysis to drive Corrective Action and Preventive Action
Must have ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Advanced understanding of Quality principles in Aerospace industry
A strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), engineering requirements as well as mechanical and electrical inspection methods
Ability to effectively communicate and interface with Suppliers, Quality Program Management, Engineering, Sub-contracts (Buyers) and Government Representatives
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment, multi-task and meet deadlines
Capable of performing root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems
Ability to focus on continual improvement practices using causal analysis tools to drive corrective and preventive actions
Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements
Experience with control and disposition of non-conforming material
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
A basic understanding of the MFC SAP and P2P business systems
ASQ Certification or Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt/Black Belt)
Experience with source inspection, surveillance activities and special process at suppliers
Advanced AS9100, AS9102 and TS 16949 Interpretation and application experience
Experienced as a team lead and facilitator
Familiar with requirements for handling and control of Government Furnished Equipment/Property
Experienced in Bid, Proposal and Estimating practices and development of Quality Assurance Basis of Estimates (BOE).
