Subcontract Manager Staff
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Sr. Subcontract Manager for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to support Integrated Air and Missile Defense Subcontract Management. Responsible for the management of supplier cost, scheduling and technical performance on moderate-to-high-risk contracts, performance specification and complex build-to-print subcontracts for commercial, DOD and international programs.
This position primarily supports a dynamic, fast-paced Japan Direct Commercial Sales Contract with predominantly FFP contract types. Priorities tend to be very fluid, requiring resilience and flexibility.
Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance
DoD procurement experience; both domestic and international
Ability to work multiple tasks and deal with competing priorities in a fast paced environment
Excellent communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills
Master problem solving skills
Excellent business acumen and ability to make business based decisions
Strong negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to work with all levels of management
Ability to coach and mentor other less experienced personnel
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
Prior experience and knowledge of SAP, Lockheed Martin Procure to Pay (LM P2P) or other LM procurement systems
Demonstrated team building experience
Understanding corporate Product Development Process (PDP) procedures which may include the Design, Technical and Program Reviews
Manage supplier risks and communicate the mitigation to management
Process Improvement training such as Green Belt or Black Belt certifications
Ability to learn, understand and work with different foreign cultures
Ability to travel internationally (mainly to Japan) with possible extended trips for up to 2 months
