Staff Electro-Mechanical Packaging Engineer / PWB & CCA Design / Orlando, FL

Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is a recognized designer, developer and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries. This is Lockheed Martin's lead business unit for research development and production of manned and unmanned ground-vehicle systems, electro-optical and smart munitions systems and is a pioneer in the field of versatile, high-performance missile and rocket technology.

Hardware ElectroMechanical packaging design engineer will be responsible for the hardware development for missile and/or fire control electronics: specifically printed wiring board (PWB) and circuit card assembly (CCA) design as well as general packaging support. Activity will require cross functional coordination to complete PWB/CCA hardware design and integration for the designated weapon system.

General qualifications: Researches, develops, and designs component, equipment, and networks for military applications. Candidate must have experience CCA and PWB design as well as the associated components and connectors.

The Greater Orlando metropolitan area is the sixth largest metro area in the southeastern United States. The climate here is warm and sunny all year long for the most part. Orlando is home to the University of Central Florida (UCF), Walt Disney World, and SeaWorld. Where can you get to from Orlando? Orlando is about an hour's drive from Cocoa Beach and the "space coast" to include NASA and the Kennedy Space Center. Tampa is about 1 and ¼ hours from Orlando. West Palm Beach is about 2.5 hours to the south and Jacksonville is about 2 hours to the northeast. Atlanta, GA is 6 hours to the northwest.

Basic Qualifications
- Candidate must have a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with more than 9 years of professional experience.
- Proficient with Pro-E/CREO or Catia.
- Requires 9 or more years of electro-mechanical design experience of airborne avionics, missile and/or ground-based equipment. Design experience should include PWB/CCA, chassis, electro-mechanical assembly, and electrical cable design.
Must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Desired skills
Ideal candidate would have a working knowledge of printed wiring board and surface mount technologies as well as knowledge of military and/or industry hardware specifications. Candidate should also display an ability and willingness to train early career ElectroMechanical engineers
