Sr. Electrical Engineer / Guidance and Control / Grand Prairie, TX
Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) business area in Dallas, Texas is looking for an electrical engineer with Guidance and Control experience to support a major missile program. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated knowledge and experience with Control Actuation Systems (CAS) and control subsystems.
This position will require technical management of a supplier, overseeing the production of the CAS. The candidate will be responsible for knowing and interpreting requirements flowed down to the supplier and making sure the supplier is meeting the technical aspects of the requirements. Responsibilities will include working within a cross functional team to manage the supplier. Work through integration and interface challenges. Evaluate and provide technical leadership for failure investigations. Candidates must have some understanding of the technical principles, theories and concepts of Control Systems.The candidate must be a self-starter with good organizational skills

The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the â€Mid-Citiesâ€ region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth.
- Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Prior experience in GNC or similar function.
- Occasional travel required.
- The candidate should have experience and knowledge using Matlab or similar simulation software application for guidance and control development and test.
- Previous integration and test experience is desired.
- Experience across engineering disciplines is desired.
- Experience in risk management and earned value management is desired.
