The candidate will be responsible for the technical management of suppliers, overseeing their design and ultimately qualification of new ESAF/ISD designs. The job requires coordinating and collaborating with ignition safety devices and safe/arm fuze suppliers, subcontracts, quality, and engineering. Candidates must have an understanding of technical principles, theories and concepts of Fuzing and solid rocket motor ignition.

Other duties may include:
-Developing product performance specifications, statements of work, and supplier data requirements
- Maintaining and reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and technical analyses necessary to support integration
-Coordinating requirements flow-down, verification, and maintain technical baselines at the supplier
-Travelling to supplier as required to perform job description

Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret clearance is required.

The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the “Mid-Cities” region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth.

Basic Qualifications
The successful candidate must be well organized, team oriented, and meet the following:
-Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related field.
-Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret clearance.
-Ability to conduct failure investigations and determine root cause of manufacturing and test anomalies, prepare formal written reports, and present results to management and customers.
-Strong communication skills and the ability to reach solutions acceptable to a multidisciplinary technical and managerial work team.
-Occasional travel is required.

Desired skills
It is highly desirable to have experience in the following:
-Positive interaction with personnel from vairous engineering spport disciplines (e.g. soft skills) for issue/conflict resolution.
-Preparation and evaluation of supplier proposals.
-Design, development, production, qualification and acceptance testing and integration of ISD/SAF hardware.
