Software Engineer Senior / Embedded / Clearance - Grand Prairie

This job is for a Software Engineer who would integrate and evaluate the performance of a variety of seekers on real-time simulation/emulation/target hardware for a representative missile system.

Basic Qualifications
The engineer must have an active Final SECRET security clearance from the DOD.

Hands-on experience in Linux - Red Hat, Embedded, VXWorks, Windows, and/or Labview NI
Develop solutions using open architecture methodologies.
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent such as Computer Science with an emphasis on Engineering.

Desired skills
Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills at the system, subsystem, and component level
The design, development and problem resolution of new and existing software, models, test scripts and components for missiles and missile subsystems is desired
Define, analyze and review simulation software requirements to meet defined and anticipated customer needs and system quality and performance standards.
Ability to develop Board Support Packages and device drivers for operating systems listed above.
Design simulation software and implement functionality, typically using a model-based approach.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines in planning, design and development of systems to ensure software and hardware performance and compatibility
Documentation of detailed test plans, test design, analysis, computer modeling, prototype/production test scripts and specification releases.
Conduct unit-, integration-, and system-level, and performance based testing.
Typical simulation functionality includes guidance, navigation & control, mission sequencing, payload control, redundancy and contingency management, uplink and downlink packet encoding and decoding, converting between different serial protocols, hardware-in-the-loop simulation, ground-based GUIs, and potentially aircraft subsystem control (i.e., engine, electrical system, fuel system).
Understanding of hardware interfaces and familiarity with missile subsystems is desired.
