Software Engineer / C/C++ / Linux / Grand Prairie, Tx
Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) develops, manufactures and supports advanced combat, missile, rocket, manned and unmanned systems for military customers. MFC also offers a wide range of products and services for the global civil nuclear power industry and the military's green power initiatives. MFC has the need for software engineers to work in embedded systems, robotics and visual simulations. The embedded systems work includes work with missiles, launchers, fire control systems, seekers, radar systems, mission planning, and robotic ground vehicles.

The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the "Mid-Cities" region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. This North Central region of Texas is a great place to live and to raise a family. The region is home to numerous colleges and universities to include University of Texas at Dallas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of North Texas, Southern Methodist University, Southern Methodist University, and Texas Woman's University. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth.
Final Secret security clearance within the last 5 years from the DOD required.
Experience in one of the following lifecycle techniques: Agile, Spiral, Waterfall
Experience with following languages: C/C++
Experience with following operating systems: Linux
Experience in developing one or more of the following documents: Software Development Plan, Software Test Plan, Software Design/Architecture Document, Software Test Description Document, Software Test Report
Experience with professional configuration management tools and processes
Experience with following languages: Ada, Fortran, Python, Java
Experience with middleware/communication protocols: DDS, Codesys, RS232, PCI, CAN, TCP/IP, UDP, SPI, UART
Experience with processor platforms like: ARM, C30/40, Freescale, Intel, Motorola 68xxx, PC104, Power PC, Rasberry Pi, SPARC
Experience with test tools and techniques: Jenkins, Perforce
Experience with Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation and test, open/closed loop testing, Units Under Test
Experience in cyber security protection, detection, and prevention techniques
Experience with seekers, IMU, or sensors
Experience developing board support packages (BSP) and drivers for Linux and VxWorks, for multiple host platforms
