Signal and Image Processing Engineer, Orlando FL

Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Signal and Image Processing Engineer for an exciting position in Orlando, FL. The candidate's primary task is to perform algorithm development for a sensor system. The candidate will review systems requirements, develop algorithms, perform algorithm verification, and support real-time implementation. The candidate will also support testing at all levels and analysis to support the algorithm development task.

The candidate must be familiar with challenges of interfacing with a multi-faceted team of system technology and software engineers. The candidate must have experience with integrating and assessing sensor algorithms in an integrated simulation environment. The candidate will also develop and design quick look tools and participate in algorithm design trades and design of experiments and must have analytical skills. The candidate must be able to work in a dynamic program environment and have a fundamental understanding of cost and schedule.
Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must demonstrate the ability to perform the following Image and Signal Processing assignments:

• Perform design/analysis of image processing algorithms employing image enhancement, detection and correlation techniques.
• Optimize algorithms to meet memory and throughput capabilities of the processing hardware.
• Capture and process flight test data to assess and enhance algorithm performance.
• Verify compliance to customer requirements via simulation, and analysis of test data.
• Work effectively with embedded software engineers to ensure algorithms are appropriately implemented and verified.
• Demonstrate image and signal processing design skills utilizing C++ and MATLAB.
• Demonstrate experience working with MATLAB and C++ simulations using collected data and synthetic data.
• Demonstrate strong written and oral communications skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
Desired Skills:
Experience with multi-sensor data fusion is a plus. Understanding of inertial tracking is also desired.
