Signal and Image Processing Engineer, Orlando FL

Description:Seeking a highly motivated Image and Signal Processing (I&SP) Engineer for a cutting-edge assignment on an exciting new development program. The I&SP Engineer will be focused on the design, analysis and integration of advanced target discrimination algorithms to optimize detection, recognition and tracking performance. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate knowledge of advanced target discrimination techniques and have a demonstratable ability to model for detailed performance assessment in both simulated and real applications. The I&SP Engineer should be able to demonstrate extensive modeling capabilities in terms of both experience and toolset utilization. Good communication skills are desired.

Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must demonstrate the ability to perform the following Image and Signal Processing assignments:

Perform design/analysis of image processing algorithms employing image enhancement, detection and correlation techniques.

Design algorithms for scene/target signal or image enhancement and scene image correlation for multi-sensor fusion.

Design EO target discrimination algorithms to meet low false alarm rates with high target detection, recognition, and classification capability.

Optimize algorithms to meet memory and throughput capabilities of the processing hardware.

Capture and process flight test data to assess and enhance algorithm performance.

Verify compliance to customer requirements via simulation, and analysis of test data.

Work effectively with embedded software engineers to ensure algorithms are appropriately implemented and verified.

Demonstrate image and signal processing design skills utilizing C++ and MATLAB.

Demonstrate experience working with MATLAB and C++ simulations using collected data and synthetic data.

Demonstrate strong math skills used in simulation development experience.

Currently holds a Secret clearance with a background investigation within the last 5 years.
Desired Skills:
Experience with multi-sensor data fusion is a plus.

Understanding of inertial tracking is also desired.
