Senior Staff Systems Analysis Engineer / Energy / Grand Prairie, TX

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Systems Engineer for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to provide system engineering design and analysis support for an emerging missile program. This engineer will be responsible to both lead and technically contribute to system concept design, to align to high level customer requirements, while meeting challenging affordability goals. Using self developed data, and data provided by the team, decision paths, and alternatives will be analyzed, typically at very early phases of product and technology development. Experience in missile concept design and/or familiarity with RF Seekers is desired.
Familiarity with requirements decomposition, and management through integration, test and demonstration is desired.
Typical duties include total Systems Analysis including:
Value analysis
Cost and Risk assessment
Supportability and Effectiveness analysis
Architecture and Trade Studies
Systems Engineering

Ensures the logical and systematic analysis and alignment of total system solutions to customer requirements throughout the life-cycle.

Works well with a team, and results guide product development.


Basic Qualifications
Must have a Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related discipline
12 - 14 years of systems engineering experience supporting technical programs
Ability to support occasional travel

Desired skills
Knowledge of trade studies
Understanding of both cost and value models
Knowledge of military systems, especially missiles and/or seekers, especially RF
Familiarity with requirements decomposition, and management through integration, test and demonstration
Familiarity with whole life cycle concerns
Capable of conducting analysis in both data rich, and data scarce environments
Must be able to work with a team and individually
Familiar with missions effectiveness and supportability
Familiar with proposals and proposal management, white papers or similar
Experienced working with new technology and new product development
Good communication skills, both written and oral
Strong systems engineering experience, including decision analysis
Experience working with a multi-functional team
Experience working on a complex product
Experience managing teams, work and products
Can envision goals, define plans to reach them, and lead the team along the way
Familiar with system integration and test planning.
