Safety Engineer / Troy , AL
Overall implementation and development of site-wide Safety Programs in compliance with applicable federal and State regulations(OSHA, DOD 4145, DOT). Provide functional support for all manufacturing programs, as wells as, transportation and storage. Serve as back-up Environmental Engineer and Ordnance Safety Engineer, as necessary. Ensure compliance with all safety requirements by conducting audits, coordinating required stand-up training, and inspecting facilities. The ideal candidate must be able to work on-call and varied shifts on occasion and may be required to travel infrequently.

The Locale: Troy, Alabama is located in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region of southeastern Alabama. Troy's climate is typical of areas along the Gulf of Mexico in that it has hot, humid summers and mild winters. Troy is a great place to live offering lots of things to do and has a small town charm. Troy is also a college town and is home to Troy University. Where can you get to from Troy? Troy is just under an hour south of Montgomery, Alabama. Troy is about 2.5 hours north of the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Walton Beach and Florida's Pan Handle. Troy is about three hours from Atlanta, GA.
• Bachelor's Degree
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance and must have at least an Interim Security Clearance prior to start. Must be a US Citizen.
• Manufacturing Safety and Environmental/Safety Compliance Experience preferred
• 40 hour HAZWOPER Certified
• Ordnance experience
• Ergonomics/Industrial Safety experience
• Industrial Hygiene experience
• Regulatory Compliance experience
• Hypergolic experience
