Quality Engineer Manager

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a motivated and driven Quality Engineering Manager for the HIMARS program.

Quality Engineering is seeking managers to solve complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions that provide the best product for our customers, both domestically and internationally.

Quality Engineering Managers at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control act as an integrated member of the design and production teams overseeing the development of quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products.

To ensure our customer get the highest level of Quality, our Quality Engineering Managers ensure the team has fulfilled all customer requirements.

In a culture of continuous improvement our department utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and drive affordability and efficiency. Working with an integrated team, which includes customer, suppliers and other functional personnel, nonconformances are identified, trended and resolved in a timely manner.

As a vital member of the team, Quality Engineering Managers at Missiles and Fire Control ensure designs, both electrical and mechanical, have been thoroughly reviewed for producibility and affordability.

Basic Qualifications
Technical Engineering degree, or equivalent experience, in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Advanced understanding of Quality principles in Aerospace industry

Experience with control and disposition of non-conforming material

Experience solving complex problems associated with the quality of products and in Quality Management processes

Experience working with Government customers

Experienced as a team lead and facilitator

Ability to influence outcomes

Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Effective presentation skills, ability to develop messages, training and compelling strategies resulting in diverse teams implementing and executing new solutions

Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with Technical Operations, Manufacturing, and all other stakeholders

Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques.

Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement.

Demonstrated Presentation skills

Ability to travel

Ability to obtain a security clearance

Desired skills
Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.

ASQ CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and / or CQIA (Certified Quality Improvement Associate).

Advanced experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance

SAP Application experience.

Experience with use of inspection gages and measuring equipment.

Advanced AS9100 Interpretation and application experience.

Strong knowledge of Industry recognized Quality systems such as International (ISO), aerospace (AS), and FAA regulations.

Experienced in Bid, Proposal and Estimating practices and development of Quality Assurance Basis of Estimates (BOE)

Earned Value Management System Cost Account Manager (EVMS CAM) certification

Familiar with requirements for handling and control of Government Furnished Equipment/Property during field, ground or operational tests
