Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer Associate / Troy, AL

Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer Associate in Troy, AL supporting program and / or functional Quality. Program Quality Engineering activities include: Interfacing with Production, Program Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering personnel. Investigate and work non-conformance issues through to root cause/corrective action. Seek continuous improvement through involvement in product, process, and surveillance audit/assessment activities, complete Hardware Quality Audits (HQAs) and Foreign Object Elimination (FOE) Walk Downs, Work Audit findings to root cause and implement corrective and preventive measures, etc.

The Locale: Troy, Alabama is located in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region of southeastern Alabama. Troy's climate is typical of areas along the Gulf of Mexico in that it has hot, humid summers and mild winters. Troy is a great place to live offering lots of things to do and has a small town charm. Troy is also a college town and is home to Troy University. Where can you get to from Troy? Troy is just under an hour south of Montgomery, Alabama. Troy is about 2.5 hours north of the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Walton Beach and Florida's Pan Handle. Troy is about three hours from Atlanta, GA.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college.

Must be able to obtain a security clearance and must have at least an interim secret clearance prior to start.

Desired skills
Minimum 3.0 GPA
VBA coding skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GDAT)
Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering degree preferred
