Quality Assurance Engineer Associate - Orlando, FL

Develops Quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products. Maintains work instructions for inspection personnel, determining location and frequency of inspection steps throughout the manufacturing process to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer. Supports the Performance Management Teams with quality data on yields, rework, scrap and non-conformance aging. Attends and leads program corrective action meeting, identifies trends, assists in problem resolution and insures actions meet commitments. Dispositions non-conforming hardware, identified containment requirements, appropriate root cause is identified and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence. Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001/AS9100. Interfaces with customers and program personnel on all quality related issues. Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement. Makes the final decision on acceptability of product. May lead and give direction to subordinate personnel.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited university in a related technical discipline.

Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Ability to travel.

Desired skills
Intern Experience working with Engineering/production teams and working knowledge CAD/Drawings, ability to discern compliance to specifications and processes a plus

Knowledge of machining processes, CMM and inspection of machine parts

Ability to organize and track multiple activities and prioritize task based on importance.

Ability to proactively review, interpret and apply specifications to determine compliance with requirements.

Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration

Demonstrated problem solving skills.

Effective Communication Skills: Written, Oral, Listening, Presentation, Technical Writing.

Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, etc

Ability to Travel

Experience with Root Cause Analysis tools and Corrective Action Planning.

Understanding of Lean Six Sigma tools and processes
Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
