QA Engineer / Archbald, PA

Performs Quality Engineer duties on the Energy Line of Business, but may require quality assurance manufacturing support in a variety of programs across all lines of business. This role will be responsible for the typical program quality engineer duties such as material review board chair, corrective action board facilitation, inspection/test support, disposition nonconforming material, support program team meetings, facilitate/review/approve/follow-up corrective action requests, support both internal and external audits, process improvements and various other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience.

Ability to focus on continual improvement practices using causal analysis tools to drive corrective and preventive actions.

Be able to effectively communicate with Customer, Program team and other functional departments.

Willingness/ability to travel to suppliers to perform process surveillance and/or when supplier issues arise.

Knowledge and understanding of critical design attributes and auditing/surveying capabilities.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and support engineering activities related to special process surveys and supplier issues.

Strong communication (both oral and written) will be necessary to support the assignment.

Ability to obtain a secret security clearance and therefore must be a US Citizen.

Desired skills
A technical degree is a plus, due to technical requirements related to the daily tasks.

A basic understanding of the MFC SAP business system.

Experience with SAP. Familiarity with AS9100, ISO9001 and NQA-1/ 10CFR50 Appendix B. Experience with lean manufacturing and root cause analysis. MRB experience.

Strong problem solving skills, corrective action and causal analysis techniques.

Lean Six Sigma Certification (Greenbelt) experience working in a dynamic environment.

Audit experience.
