Production Operations Senior Manager / Orlando, FL

This individual will lead a team of people who are paving the way to future production sensor cameras and systems of the future. As the senior leader of this team, you will be responsible for the strategy and execution of the production activities related to the business growth generated by the Sensors and Global Sustainment Advanced Program team. You and you team will manage development, pre-production and production activities on Sensors and Global Sustainment Advanced Programs and Advance Threat Warning Systems.

You will be responsible for cost, quality and schedule for the six (6) manufacturing centers (Program Operations, Machine Shop, Optics Shop and Sensor Integration Center) /sites (Ocala, Santa Barbara Focalplane). In the role, you will need to reach across boundaries and coordinate with other functional areas such as engineering, quality and procurement to drive closure to production/technical/supplier initiatives.

You will be responsible for leading the strategic and tactical direction of the program and production team in the areas of proposals, program planning, manpower planning, hardware support, NRE activities, process development, test equipment, lean initiatives and facilities planning. Responsible for capital, IRAD, NBAE and make/buy coordination and implementation.

As the leader of production, you must be able to effectively communicate at all levels of management via verbal and written correspondence and be able to author Program Directives (PDs). This position may involve limited travel.

Basic Qualifications
2 to 3 years of Product Development/Process Knowledge

5 to 7 years of Manufacturing Experience

Lean Six Sigma or Green or Black Belt certification

Excellent verbal/written communications, must be able to effectively communicate at all levels of management via verbal and written correspondence

$1 million minimum Budget Management experience

Active Security Clearance with a 5 year investigation.

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or other related field

Understanding of manufacturing resource planning (MRP) basics and product first unit flow

Desired skills
Leadership/Supervisory Experience

Production System Integration Background

Knowledge of Fire Control Line of Business products and services

Experience with various program life cycle phases

Ability to interface with customer

Familiar with business operations, earned value management

Master's degree in engineering, business or other related field
