Production Operations Deputy Manager

Description:This individual will join a high performing team that is paving the future for Infrared Camera manufacturing. This person will manage production activities specifically on the TacIRST project as well as any designated special tasks for the Advanced and Special Programs team as directed by the Sensors & Global Sustainment Advanced and Special Programs Operations Manager. This person will lead the team and make decisions regarding cost and schedule across six (6) manufacturing centers. This role includes significant coordination with other functional teams such as engineering, quality and procurement and external Lockheed Martin sites such as Ocala and Santa Barbara to deliver on key program milestones while driving a culture of change through process improvements targeted to delivering the best product Lockheed can offer at the Customer's best value.

Responsibilities include leading the strategic direction of the program in the areas of proposals, program planning and execution, manpower planning, capital/capacity planning, non-recurring engineering activity and process development. This individual must be able to effectively communicate with the customer and at all levels of management via verbal and written correspondence and be able to author program directives (PD's). Position may involve limited travel.
Desired Skills:- Production Operations leadership experience

- Experience in program development with emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and leadership.

- Experience in the design of manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining and material handling.
Excellent communication skills, must be able to effectively communicate to all levels of employees, including executive management level

- Understanding and wide application of Electro-Optical assembly and Test methods.

- First Unit Flow planning & execution

- Manufacturing & Test Statement of Work and Proposal development experience

- Experience with Make-Buy Generation

-CAM Certification or cost analysis experience

-Master's degree in business, engineering, or other related field
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or other related field

2 to 3 years of Production/Manufacturing Experience

1 to 2 years of Experience in capacity & capital planning

Experience in leading and working effectively with manufacturing teams in the planning and execution of identified solutions to technical problems

A Secret clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years.
