Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Engineer, Orlando FL

Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Engineer to lead the update of an existing cruise missile simulation to incorporate capabilities for a new surface-based launch platform. The candidate must possess previous (M&S) experience with strong verbal/written communication skills. The M&S Engineer will interface with algorithm and software team members and will be integral to algorithm and software M&S verification activities. This position requires technical presentations to the program and to the customer.

In addition, the M&S Engineer will be responsible for interfacing with Government Test Ranges, and for generating Range Safety analyses.
Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must demonstrate the ability to perform the following Modeling and Simulation (M&S) assignments:

Demonstrate the ability to design a high-fidelity system simulation capable of predicting system pre-deployment performance.

Perform modeling and simulation tasks for 6DOF Integrated Flight simulations (IFS).

Perform modeling and simulation tasks for system survivability and Safety of Flight (SOF).

Integrate guidance, navigation and autopilot algorithms into a high-fidelity IFS.

Perform trade studies and simulation analyses with the objective of enhancing and optimizing system performance capability.

Demonstrate mastery of C++.

Ability to obtain an interim security clearance and considered a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
MATLAB experience is highly desired.
