Missile GNC Engineer / Staff Level / Grand Prairie, TX

Lockheed Martin is looking for an experienced GNC engineer to work on a fast-paced, cutting edge missile development team. This exciting program is at an ideal phase for innovative engineering, being early enough to permit significant innovations but mature enough to get real-world validation through hardware-in-the-loop and flight tests. The program is part of our Air and Missile Defense portfolio at our Missiles and Fire Control location in Grand Prairie, TX, a world leader in defensive missile systems.
This position focuses on missile guidance, Kalman filtering, trajectory shaping, and assessing system performance. Proficiency with Matlab and Simulink is required. The dynamic team environment offers opportunities to employ broad GNC skills, so experience in autopilots, fire control algorithms, and C++ are also beneficial.

Basic Qualifications
Proficient with Matlab and Simulink.
Experience with missile guidance, Kalman filter design, and trajectory shaping.
Experience with performance simulations of aircraft or missile systems

The ability to obtain a Secret security clearance is required

Desired skills
Experience with C++,
Skilled at fire control algorithms and autopilot design.
Experience mentoring.
Active Secret clearance.
