Mechanical Engineer Staff - MH-60M - Special Operations Forces - CATIA V5

The candidate researches, plans, designs, and integrates mechanical products and systems using 3-D modeling techniques, with which the candidate must be proficient. The primary toolset used is Catia V5. The candidate must have excellent drafting skills and drawing standards knowledge; depth in airframe materials selection; ability to manage schedules in Microsoft Project. The position requires leading aircraft systems integration efforts while reporting to the Project Engineer, and requires the candidate to clearly communicate progress to leadership. Frequent internal and external customer briefings will be required, as will estimating work (cost and schedule), leading a small/medium team, and managing budgets. Some travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications
Candidate must be proficient with Catia V5, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Project, Microsoft PowerPoint, and have excellent verbal and written communication (technical and nontechnical) skills. The candidate must have experience with aircraft systems integration. The candidate must be proficient with the Y14.100 drawing standard. The candidate must have intimate knowledge of the Black Hawk and Chinook platforms.

Desired skills
Experience integrating electromechanical systems and airframe structure on Army Aviation platforms; experience supporting the Special Operations military community; familiarity with one-off aircraft integration efforts as well as depth in an aircraft modification environment. A candidate with a strong business acumen is preferred.
