Mechanical Engineer Senior - CATIA V5 - 3D Modeling

The candidate researches, plans, designs, and integrates mechanical products and systems using 3-D modeling techniques and mechanical engineering standard practices, with which the candidate must be proficient. The successful candidate will have demonstrated electromechanical and structural aircraft integration experience; depot maintenance and depot-level aircraft structural repair development and implementation experience; design and drafting experience including proficiency with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance); and demonstrated business sense. The candidate will be in frequent written and verbal communication with design and project management, and the candidate will communicate directly with the Program Manager and Army customers. Power Point presentation preparation and the briefing of its content to medium-sized audiences will be frequently required. Some travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications
Candidate must be proficient with Catia V5, Air Force Technical Orders, depot repair manuals or DMWRs; Microsoft Office Suite, including Project, and have excellent verbal and written communication (technical and nontechnical) skills. The candidate must be proficient with the Y14.100 drawing standard and Air Force systems design and integration, specifically on Black Hawk helicopters. The candidate must have excellent drafting skills and drawing standards knowledge; depth in airframe structural materials selection and structural repair development; ability to manage small schedules in Microsoft Project, and strong decision making skills.

Desired skills
Experience integrating electromechanical systems and airframe structure on Army Aviation or Air Force Black Hawk Helicopters; experience supporting the Special Operations military community; familiarity with one-off aircraft integration efforts as well as depth in an aircraft modification production environment.
