Mechanical Engineer - CATIA V5 - Army Aviation Systems Design and Integration

The candidate researches, plans, designs, and integrates mechanical products and systems using 3-D modeling techniques and mechanical engineering standard practices, with which the candidate must be proficient. The successful candidate will have demonstrated design and drafting experience, proficiency with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and demonstrated business sense. The candidate will be in frequent written and verbal communication with design and project management. The position requires performing design in support of aircraft systems integration efforts with minimal supervision. Some travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications
Candidate must be proficient with Catia V5, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Powerpoint, and have excellent verbal and written communication (technical and nontechnical) skills. The candidate must have experience with aircraft systems integration. The candidate must be proficient with the Y14.100 drawing standard and Army Aviation systems design and integration. The candidate must have excellent drafting skills and drawing standards knowledge; depth in airframe structural materials selection; ability to manage small schedules in Microsoft Project.

Desired skills
Experience with Black Hawk mechanical design and integration. Business-minded individual preferably with a certificate or minor in an accredited business-based curriculum.
