Manufacturing Planner Intern - Ocala, FL

Description:Ocala Operations is a multi-shift manufacturing facility that build circuit cards, wiring harnesses, and electro-mechanical assemblies. The facility currently has over 1200 employees and provides products to six Missiles and Fire Control sites. Ocala specializes in both low volume high mix and high volume production that has a combination of automated processes as well as labor intensive manufacturing. Ocala Operations has a represented manufacturing workforce that is supported by a strong engineering and operations support team.

Candidate must be pursuing a 4 year degree from an accredited college or university. Candidate will work on assigned program to provide status of hardware, monitor material for timely release to factory, maintain and monitor all control metrics, and aide in meeting all scheduled deliveries.

This position will be located at a facility that requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelors or Masters program pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related discipline.
Desired Skills:
Preferred disciplines include Production Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or related field.

Minimum 3.0 GPA

Experienced with Microsoft Office (POWERPOINT, ACCESS, WORD, EXCEL).

Knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly, industrial processes, technical writing, and teaming.

Strong written & verbal communication skills

American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) Certification.

Member of the Production & Operations Management Society.

Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

Candidate should demonstrate a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Candidate will model personal excellence through responsibility and accountability for their actions and assigned task.

SAP Experience
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
