Manufacturing Engineer Sr

Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a
position in Grand Prairie, TX to support the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Program Production Engineering team. This position is primarily focused on the Advanced Capability Development (ACD) projects for the THAAD product line. The position can involve Design for Manufacture input, transition new or revised designs from development to production, proposal estimating, leading manufacturing process validation activities, driving cost reduction activities to closure, identifying risks to production and implementing mitigation plans, Lockheed Martin (LM) and supplier factory process support, earned value management and any other program related manufacturing or tooling issues that may arise.
Basic Qualifications:
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
Ability to interpret drawings, electrical schematics, wiring
diagrams, product/performance specifications and other
systems integration technical data
Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
Ability to travel domestic and/or international
Ability to build positive relationships with the customer
Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and
collaboration
Demonstrated effective communication skills including
verbal, listening, technical writing and presentations
Desired Skills:
Bachelors in Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical Engineering or Material Sciences
Experience working with Government customers
SAP application experience
Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
Experience in Electrical Assembly, Mechanical Assembly, or
Machining
Process improvement experience
Design for Manufacturing experience
