Industrial Hygienist Senior / Orlando, FL

Candidate will be responsible for performing and managing all Industrial Hygiene aspects of a large industrial manufacturing site. Responsibilities include but are not limited to managing industrial hygiene sampling plans, hearing conservation program, ionizing and nonionizing radiation, respiratory protection, ventilation and other safety and health programs as designated. Must be capable of researching and accurately referencing standards (e.g., OSHA, ACGIH, etc.) and have a working knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices. Strong interpersonal and writing skills are necessary.

Basic Qualifications
Conduct qualitative and quantitative exposure assessments, including basic characterization, identification of similar exposure groups, and development of sampling plans.

Plan and conduct industrial hygiene sampling surveys for chemical, physical and biological hazards

Interpret exposure monitoring results, develop appropriate recommendations to control exposures.

Evaluate industrial ventilation systems

Define fundamental concepts of inferential and deterministic statistics in order to select appropriate statistical tools (both parametric and non-parametric) to determine exposure outcomes

Recognize and investigates the potential for health effects associated with chemical agents without authoritative occupational exposure limits

Define strategies for ongoing exposure monitoring to assure timely identification of deviations in exposure profiles and to ensure controls continue to be effective

Perform indoor environmental quality investigations

Write technical reports.

Desired skills
OSHA and previous consulting experience are preferred.
Training skills are a plus.
Certified by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene as a Certified Industrial Hygienist.
