Guidance, Navigation & Control / Dallas / Systems Engineer Staff

Lockheed Martin is seeking experienced Guidance, Navigation and Control engineers to work on a fast-paced, cutting edge missile development team. This exciting program is at an ideal phase for innovative engineering, being early enough to permit significant innovations but mature enough to get real-world validation through hardware-in-the-loop and flight testing. the program is part of our Air and Missile Defense portfolio at our Missiles and Fire Control location in Grand Prairie, TX, a world leader in defensive missile systems.

Representative areas of responsibility include simulation modeling, development and refinement of guidance laws and autopilot algorithms, missile performance analysis, hardware in the loop testing, conducting trade studies, pre-flight analysis and post-flight reconstruction.

Candidate must be capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position requires experience with Matlab and C++ and a Secret security clearance.

Basic Qualifications
Experience with programming in Matlab and C++
Experience with performance simulations of aircraft or missile systems

Must have an interim secret clearance prior to start.

Desired skills
Experience with Simulink
Experience with autopilot design and tuning.
Familiarity with missile guidance algorithms.
Experience with hardware in the loop testing and system integration.
Experience with air-to-air missiles.
