Description:Come join our Missiles and Fire Control team in sunny Florida!

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer for development and optimization of an airborne platform at our Missiles and Fire Control site in Orlando, Florida.

Key responsibilities for this role include the following:

- Performing Missile 6DOF simulation analysis and Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) simulation analysis.

- Development and analysis of guidance, navigation and autopilot algorithms.

- Development of simulation models and performing hardware integration.

- Performance verification and troubleshooting.

Must have an active Secret clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years to be considered for this role.

Where can you get to from Orlando? Orlando is about an hour's drive from Cocoa Beach and the "space coast" to include NASA and the Kennedy Space Center. Tampa is about 1.5 hours from Orlando. West Palm Beach is about 2.5 hours to the south and Jacksonville is about 2 hours to the northeast. Atlanta, GA is 6 hours to the northwest.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience performing modeling and simulation tasks for 6DOF Integrated Flight simulations (IFS).

Experience performing trade studies and simulation analyses with the objective of enhancing and optimizing system performance capability.

C++ and/or MATLAB, Simulink in both windows and Linux environments.

Must currently hold a Secret clearance with a background investigation within the last 5 years.
Desired Skills:
Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) simulation experience.

Experience with Embedded Software, RF/EO knowledge, and experience programming in FORTRAN.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience performing modeling and simulation tasks for 6DOF Integrated Flight simulations (IFS).

Experience performing trade studies and simulation analyses with the objective of enhancing and optimizing system performance capability.

C++ and/or MATLAB, Simulink in both windows and Linux environments.
