Field Technician / High Voltage Equipment / Orange, CA

Lockheed Martin Advanced Energy Storage is focusing on the development of transformational renewable energy storage technologies that will enable renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind, to power our society anywhere, anytime, and at low cost. We are a field deployment team located in Orange California supporting energy storage projects in California and other western states. This is a full-time position, to provide field technical services including installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, repair and modifications to Lockheed Martin developed energy storage systems.

Responsibilities include:
• Energy storage system installation
• Energy storage system commissioning and final delivery
• Field servicing of energy storage systems connected to the electrical grid.
• Perform remote and onsite technical support of energy storage systems.
• Able to work on High Voltage Equipment up to (1200VDC, 480VAC)
• Basic knowledge of the NEC and/or IBC and applicable codes and standards
• Configure controller and PLC IP networks
• Coordinate preventative and predictive maintenance schedules with end users.
• Perform remote and onsite software updates
• Work with the project development team during proposals and energy storage system site development
• Monitor energy storage systems to limit system down time and to analyzes and evaluate energy storage systems and related performance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.
• Install, upgrade and remove products ensuring coordinative engineering field change.
• Maintain effective customer communications and relations.
• May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.
• Travel in US and International for training and site installations (up to 25% travel).

Basic Qualifications
Must have valid driver's license.
Experience in High Voltage Equipment up to (1200VDC, 480VAC)
Knowledge of the NEC and/or IBC and applicable codes and standards

High School diploma, or a technical Associate degree. 3 years (1 year) of related experience. Individuals must be flexible, able to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, and able to work independently and as part of a group.
