Employee Benefits Representative

The Business Area Benefits Representative supports Lockheed Martin's domestic group health and wealth benefits and HR/wellness programs for the assigned client group/business area. This includes addressing various benefits questions, and providing general guidance on use of benefits to Human Resources and employees where appropriate as well as identifying improvement opportunities. The successful candidate may support represented, non-represented employees who are actively at work, on a leave of absence, retired, or terminated.

•Collaborates with corporate teams on health and wealth key programs and projects such as engagement and educational opportunities - i.e., For Your Benefit events, biometric health program, retirement planning and information sessions/seminars, etc.
•Provide overall support for HR policies on severance, vacation, leaves of absence, etc.
•Coordinates complex benefits inquiries regarding plan provisions, benefit enrollments, status changes, leaves of absence, etc. Escalates issues to appropriate subject matter experts/vendor partners and facilitate closure.
•May provide benefits support for mergers and acquisitions
•May support labor unions where applicable, including participation in labor negotiations, liaison to labor relations leadership, advice and counsel regarding union-specific benefits, etc.
•May support new employee orientation sessions by explaining health and wealth related offerings including key features, costs, eligibility, engagement, etc.
•Resolves issues, provides advice and counsel related to the vacation benefit, including vacation accrual, vacation donation, hardship withdrawals and service date issues.

Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years experience in Benefit Plans or HR Programs with emphasis on regulatory, design and administration
- Project management experience
- Facilitation/presentation experience
- Ability to educate, coach, collaborate and partner with internal clients and stakeholders
