Electronics Engineer / Communications Test and Repair - Clearance Need

Description:Assist the military customer with conducting research, design, development, and testing a variety of military and commercial communications and electronic equipment and systems, to include 2G,3G, and LTE technologies, VHF, UHF, satellite, cryptographic, other communications equipment and systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; control and test equipment.
Work independently or as part of a team, research and assist with development of innovative approaches to solutions for electronic equipment and systems.
Attend meetings with the customer with inter-organizational partners, other Department of Defense (DoD) organizations, and other Federal Agencies.
This position works on-site with the supported military customer.
Operates and maintains communications test and repair equipment to include digital multi-meters, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, and signal generators.
Operate and maintain associated communications diagnostic, power, and hand tools required to support a wide range of electronic equipment.
Conducts investigation, analysis, diagnosis, testing, tuning, optimization, repair, and verification/certification of military and commercial radio, cryptographic, and other communications systems.
Works as a part of an electronic maintenance repair facility engaged in the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of communications electronic equipment using state of the art automated radio frequency communications test sets and industry standard cellular handset and base station emulators.
Apply maintenance policies and procedures set forth by the military customer and comply with all maintenance form generation and completion.
Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects by providing innovative technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems associated with the testing, installation, and implementation of cellular, radio, wireless, and satellite communications systems in support of customer activities.
Extended travel within the continental United States may be required, not to exceed 45 days in duration.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in field of electronic and communications equipment troubleshooting and repair.
Must have a working knowledge of military and commercial telecommunications equipment, to include; radio, cellular, satellite, Inmarsat, spread spectrum, digital cellular, antennas, navigation equipment, and cryptologic equipment.
Familiarity of networking to include wireless (802.11)
Working knowledge of DoD maintenance policies, procedures, regulations, and safety requirements as they apply to an electronics maintenance facility.
Security Clearance: Must be eligible for a Top Secret Clearance, with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
Desired Skills:
Experience operating CMW500 suite of test equipment.
Cellular network BTS testing equipment/processes.
