This position is to support the Lower Tier IAMD PAC-3 Sustainment Program efforts relative to the monitoring and testing of customer owned hardware.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and will be responsible for the analysis of system hardware and software configurations. The candidate will work with cross functional teams to develop backwards compatibility functionality of subassemblies used in a complex system. The candidate will be required to develop test plans and reports. The position will entail design validation and testing of both hardware and software systems, resulting in new configurations that are released through a formal Engineering release process.

The candidate will work with other team members to develop an Obsolescence mitigation strategy defining hardware and software configurations that are compatible ensuring product maintainability.

Effective communication and teaming skills are required. The candidate will be required to communicate with various Engineering and non-technical disciplines locally and across multi-site locations to discuss Sustainment strategies for obsolete hardware.

The candidate will interface with customers and suppliers. Some domestic travel will be required.

The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the "Mid-Cities" region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth.

Basic Qualifications
- Electrical Engineering Degree
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
- Strong technical background
- Proficiency in the use of general Windows-based PC applications, to include the Microsoft Office suite
- Strong Interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in preparing detailed schedules and performing oral presentations

Desired skills
- Hands on hardware experience (systems analysis, procedure and process development, hardware testing, etc.)
- Knowledge of RF systems
- Experience resolving hardware failures, discrepancies and/or test anomalies (root-cause, disposition, corrective action, review boards, etc.)
- Missile/Aerospace related education/exposure
