The Affordability Test Bed (ATB) IRAD is looking for a Hardware/Software-in-the-loop engineer to support the open architecture, dynamic HWIL in the Grand Prarie Innovation Center. Tasks will include: -improving the I/O between subsystems, -characterize hardware that is integrated onto bench for future projects (multiple CAS, flight computer, EO/IR/SAL Seekers), consolidating power supplies needed to operate bench, generating ICDs and cable harness assemblies. Most of the work will be performed in a lab environment with a small, cross directorate team of engineers working on R&D tasks with dynamic schedules.

The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the "Mid-Cities" region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth.

Basic Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Ability to understand schematics, generate interconnect diagrams and troubleshoot hardware
- AC/DC and DC/DC power management (lab power supplies)
- Analog and digital I/O routing
- Cable harness and ICDs
- Must be a US Citizen with an ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret clearance.

Desired skills
- Familiarity with products (LabVIEW, MATLAB/Simulink, CAD modeling)
- Familiarity with EO/IR systems
- Familiarity with laser systems (Class 3B)
- Test and integration experience
