Contracts Negotiator Staff

This position will be responsible for all aspects of contract performance, including building and strengthening customer relationships, collaborating with internal functional partners on capture and execution strategies, and leading proposal/contract negotiations with our customers. You will be communicating across all levels of the LM and MFC team, and with our extensive U.S. Government and international customer and partner set.
This position is for an experienced contract professional to support the contract administration, capture efforts, and lead contract negotiations of MFC proposals and contracts with a diverse domestic and international customer set.
The qualified individual must be able to establish effective working relationships and communications with internal and external customers, possess the ability to interpret RFPs and contract terms, while developing contract positions as they relate to risks and opportunities.
Strong background in US Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) is required. Ability to comprehend complex financial and business concepts. Handle multiple assignments while achieving program commitments. Experience with proposal preparation; coordinating and participating in management reviews; proposal submission; fact-finding; contract negotiations, contract award and execution activities.
Computer skills including Word, Excel and Power Point, with ability to grasp other software applications as required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; should have the appropriate attention to detail, be teamwork oriented with excellent organizational skills; and possess strong leadership skills.
Able to travel domestic and/or internationally, often on short notice, when required to fulfill the responsibility of the position.
Experience interpreting and negotiating Direct Commercial Sale (DCS) terms and conditions with foreign agencies and companies. DCS proposal preparation and contract execution.
Experience and proficiency with Lockheed Martin Contracts organization tools, processes and procedures is desired.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain high value customer relationships. Maintain versatility and flexibility in demanding situations.
