CNC Mechanic / Mazak / 5-Axis + 6-Axis Machines / Manufacturing / Orlando, FL

Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control business area is experiencing some substantial growth at our campus in sunny Orlando, FL. We are seeking a CNC Machine Mechanic to join our team.
From ultra-precision machining and additive manufacturing to the development and production of complex optical components and sophisticated electronic systems, Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) utilizes the latest capabilities in manufacturing to produce some of the world's most advanced weapon and sensor technology.
The CNC Machine Mechanic troubleshoots and repairs a variety of CNC and multi-purpose electronic and/or electro-mechanical control systems for industrial equipment. Studies the inter-relation of the various controlling circuits and plans tests for the individual control circuits and components. Conducts a series of involved functional and operational tests. Repairs machine through necessary cycles to check electronic and/or electro-mechanical systems (Mazak/ 5 axis/ 6 axis machines). Makes critical adjustments, throughout the tests, in the values and settings of the components and the related equipment in order to properly align and tune highly sensitive inter-related circuits and electro-mechanical systems. Analyzes results of the tests to locate and determine the cause of the malfunction. Replaces, or directs the replacement of faulty parts and/or wiring of the unit and retests the system or systems as necessary. Installs electronic and/or electro-mechanical equipment of the complexity described above; performs periodic maintenance on this type of equipment. Modifies existing electronic and/or electro-mechanical control systems or combinations of systems to incorporate latest designs and/or to include new functions within the control of the system; establishes arrangement and location of components to eliminate electronic interference and provide for ease of maintenance.
Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts in accordance to the collective bargaining agreement between Lockheed Martin and the UAW.

Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
Ability to maintain and repair a variety of precision CNC multi-purpose electronic control systems for industrial equipment.
Must be able to read schematics, wiring diagrams, performance specifications, and machine operating manuals to become familiar with the design and operating requirements of multi-purpose electronic and or electro-mechanical control systems. Able to troubleshoot and determine cause, then make necessary repairs as required.
Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift when required in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Lockheed Martin and the UAW.

Desired skills
5 years of related experience.
2 year Technical degree or equivalent in related discipline.
Prior experience with machine repair such as: determining causes of malfunctions, replacing faulty parts, installing electronic and/or electro-mechanical equipment, testing control circuits and components, setting up a variety of highly sensitive, precision electronic test tools and equipment, modifying and updating existing electronic and/or electro-mechanical control systems or combination of systems to include new functions and latest designs, repairing multi-axis machines.
Experience with Mazak mills and lathes, Mitsui Seiki mills, Hass milling machines.
Experience with Tecport coating chamber, Hoffman polisher, computer controls such as Mitsubishi, Fanuc.
